International conventions and agreements officially recognized by the Republic of Tajikistan:

  • International Convention on the harmonization of control over the movement of goods across borders;
  • International Convention on Road Traffic;
  • International Convention on Warning Signs on Roads;
  • International Convention on the Supply and Storage of Goods;
  • International Customs Convention on the Carriage of Goods by TIR;
  • European Agreement on the Transportation and Delivery of Dangerous Goods on the Road;
  • Intergovernmental Agreement on Perishable Foods and Special Vehicles for the Supply of Such Goods;
  • European Agreement on the operation of service vehicles on international highways;
  • Agreement on the import of safety equipment for vehicles, as well as spare parts for vehicles.

The following transport corridors pass through the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan in the framework of international programs HIMOM, TRACECA, Asian highways and the European International Road Agreement:

In the framework of the HIMOM program:

1.Corridor of №2:

Entered the Republic of Tajikistan from the Republic of Uzbekistan through the railway crossing "Spitamen" (Spitamen district) and via the route Khujand - B. Gafurov - Konibodom to the Kyrgyz Republic from the road crossing "Guliston" (Isfara district) (CAREC-2 - 143 km);

2.Corridor of №3:

It enters the Republic of Tajikistan from the Kyrgyz Republic through the Karamik checkpoint (Lakhsh district) and leaves the Republic of Uzbekistan via the Lakhsh-Vahdat-Dushanbe-Tursunzoda route through the Dusti checkpoint (Tursunzoda city). (CAREC-3 - 453 km);

3.Corridor of №5:

     It enters the Republic of Tajikistan from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan through the Panj-Poyon (Jaihun) checkpoint and leaves for the Kyrgyz Republic via the Jaihun-Bokhtar-Dushanbe-Vahdat-Lakhsh route. (CAREC-5 - 513 km);

4.Corridor of №6:

     It enters the Republic of Tajikistan from the Republic of Uzbekistan through the Bekabad checkpoint and leaves for the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan via the Khujand-Dushanbe-Bokhtar-Jaihun route through the Panji-Poyon checkpoint (Jaihun district). (CAREC-6 - 402 km);

 

TRACECA

  • Termez (border with Uzbekistan) - Tursunzoda-Dushanbe-Vahdat-Lakhsh-Karamik (border with Kyrgyzstan) - 402 km;
  • Termez (Uzbek border) - Tursunzoda-Dushanbe-Vahdat-Kulob-Kalaikhum-Khorog-Kulma (Chinese border) - 1075 km.

Asian Highways

1.Corridor of АН-7

  • Khavast (Uzbek border) -Khujand-Dushanbe-Qurghonteppa-Nizhny Panj (Afghan border) - 512 km;

2.Corridor of АН-65

  • Karamik (Kyrgyz border) -Dushanbe-Tursunzoda (Uzbek border) -402 km;

3.Corridor of - АН-66

  • Karasu (Chinese border) - Kulma-Khorog-Kulob-Vahdat-Dushanbe-Tursunzoda-Dusti (Uzbek border) - 1075 km.

   

        Under the European International Road Agreement

  • Termez (Uzbek border) -Dushanbe-Vahdat-Lakhsh-Karamik

(border of Kyrgyzstan) - 402 km;

          There are 28 transport companies operating in the market of international road transport services of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with 3 International Road Transport Associations (AVVVAT, AIATT and ALT).
